Mother's Day 2009: Biltmore Estate, Ashville, NC

Joe and I were thrilled to be able to spend this Mother's Day with Mom and Dad at the Biltmore Estate house and grounds in Asheville, NC.

After a lovely luncheon in the converted stables, the four of us walked through the house enjoying the beautifully decorated (and seemingly never-ending) interior of the Biltmore house. We were thrilled to be able to see four new rooms in the house that had been recently renovated including the room where the lady of the house, Edith Vanderbilt, gave birth to her daughter, Cornelia in 1900. Check out the Biltmore Estate website for more information on the house and pictures of the rooms and gardens! http://www.biltmore.com/

Except for a quick thunderstorm as we left the estate, the weather cooperated nicely. What a perfect day!
